What we do

From a dead outlet to a full panel

Small jobs and large ones, done by a licensed electrical contractor rather than a handyman with a multimeter.

Electrical repairs

Dead outlets, breakers that will not stay set, flickering circuits. We trace the fault to its source rather than guessing at it.

Panel and breaker work

Panel upgrades and replacements, breaker changes, and added circuits for equipment your existing panel was never sized for.

Wiring and rewiring

New circuits, replacement of aging or damaged wiring, and additions when a room or an addition needs power brought to it.

Lighting installation

Interior, exterior and security lighting. Fixture swaps through to new runs, indoors and out.

Safety inspections

A documented look at your panel, grounding and circuits. Useful before buying a home, after storm damage, or on an older property.

Surge protection

Florida leads the country in lightning strikes. Whole home surge protection is inexpensive next to replacing everything plugged into the wall.

When to call

Warning signs worth taking seriously

Electrical problems are different from most home repairs. A nuisance today can be a fire risk later, and the early symptoms are easy to live with.

  • Breakers that trip repeatedly, or will not reset at all
  • Outlets or switch plates that feel warm, or show scorch marks
  • A burning or fishy smell near an outlet or the panel
  • Lights that flicker or dim when an appliance kicks on
  • Buzzing or crackling from a switch, outlet or the panel
  • Two prong outlets, cloth wiring, or a panel older than the house
  • Extension cords doing the job a permanent circuit should
If you smell burning or see scorching, turn the circuit off at the panel and call us at (727) 862-7727 rather than waiting.

Questions

Electrical questions we get a lot

Why does my breaker keep tripping?

A breaker tripping is the breaker doing its job. The usual causes are too much load on one circuit, a short somewhere in it, or a ground fault.

Repeated trips are worth diagnosing rather than living with, because the breaker is telling you something is wrong further down the circuit.

Do I need a panel upgrade?

Often the honest answer is no. Where it does come up is with older panels, homes that have added significant load over the years, or panels from manufacturers with known issues.

We will look at it and tell you either way rather than selling you a panel you do not need.

Do you pull permits?

Where the work requires one, yes. Permitting is part of doing the job properly and it protects you at resale.

Do you serve my area?

Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Hernando, Citrus, Sumter and Marion counties. If you are near the edge of that, call and we will tell you honestly.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Florida electrical license EC13004101, plus CAC1817165 for mechanical work. Both held in house.
